Sunday 24 th Feb’ 19’

Sunday 24 th Feb’ 19’

Iv’e had a lovely stroll on a beautiful, February day
A circular, walking route that is delightful in every way
Holy Island (Lindisfarne) is a unique little isle
You need to check the tidal crossing times unless you will be stuck there for a while

The castle on the coastline
& the priory nearby
Make this so spiritualistic
& pleasing to the eye
My hubby & I enjoyed our dander
We saw swans, ducks & a goose & gander
We listened to the skylarks sweetly singing their song
Today felt like spring, so summer won’t be long

After our walk, we called into the ‘Barn at Beal’,
We were both a little peckish
So we decided to have a meal
Local haddock & chips along with tartare sauce
So yummy & delicious, freshly caught of course

Well we are sat cozied, curtains drawn for the tv
That’s the best night on the telly
There’s good viewing for me
I love ‘Call the midwives’ , then ‘Baptiste is good
I will make us both a brew
But we won’t be needing food
