Suns + Wood Benches

Circular clouds skimming
circular gardens
annoyance and worry
defenses that harden

Suns and wood benches
and try too hard smiles
roll ups that shake
tracing pie in the sky

Concern and prescriptions
with tea cakes and tea
anger and worry
no locks but not free

Suns and wood benches
and try too hard smiles
new beginnings that end
running circular miles

Hello lovely, this makes me think about the reckless and ridiculous repetitive bad habits that society seems to allow to keep going. An endless cycle of mistakes. Yet everyone just walks about faking they are okay with it.

That's just my take, I could be wrong :)

this is effing amazing and yeah' I really do mean Fantastic Marion ..

I have read "Suns + Wood Benches" several times already and find something new to admire each time ..

the way you have crafted the whole piece is deceivingly complex .. in fact, to my minds eye, much of the beauty that lays within it, the whole thing that is .. is in the simple structure and circular journey I feel you have taken me on ..

In effect, there does not need to be no beginning or end .. either in existence itself or for that matter in poetry .. Each of your four stanzas  reads just as effing well when placed on top of each other
the other way round ... Hope you can feel what I mean ......... AGT's

Thankyou for this beautiful comment...it is about visits to a psychiatric unit, as a visitor, with their circular courtyards and the myriads of emotion and aftertaste such experiences bring. X

Being Me

Dear Marion I felt the hopelessness in going round and round with nothing new to come of it. I feel the spinning spiral and the fight against the downward trend.

Circular clouds skimming
circular gardens

This to me speaks of the never ending despair dragging around with it the life that suffers it. While

Suns and wood benches
and try too hard smiles

Is the pretence that things are looking a bit brighter

While

roll ups that shake
tracing pie in the sky

Are evidence that it is not.  We dont need locks and keys to imprison us our mind can do that pretty easily all on it's own....and circumstances, of course, circumstances are the universes greatest jailors.

Much love to you, Marion, and a zillion, zillion hugs 🤗💕 x

What a stunningly indepth comment Tina, it is about my journey with a loved one years ago through many psychiatric units...they all seem to have circular courtyards ...as usual your perception has delivered you to the heart of the matter...many hugs floating your way ❤❤❤
