Sunset drive
My sunset drive home
10/10/2021
Sunset drive...
As darkness envelopes the earth behind us,
Obscuring our sight,
 our view.
A majestic sunset is glistening on a frontal assault.
Slowly sinking into the horizon,
Leaving the start of night,
 down to the moon.
Endings of another day gone bye.
To carry on its timely cycle,
And to the evening we all say hi.
With a waining light to guide us,
Unless it’s cloudy within our sky.
 Fumbling at keys.
Tumbling to the floor from not seeing things.
In Darkness when the moon does hide.
Then when it glistens,
It lights up your path.
No clouds Obscuring the illuminations that cause shadows from the moon.
Dark and silent silhouettes,
Skipping and dancing silently,
As in the darkness swoons.
Then from night into day again.
Days cycle in full effect!
I love driving westwards home,
Over the Orwell bridge,
For the prettiest of all sunsets!
Come rain,
Come shine.
Come any weather.
I’ll always love my sunset drives home!
Skies are sky blue,
Streaked with the splendour of orange,
With a background,Â
Of a cloudy,
 Smokey type of hue.
The intensity from the sun’s vivacious searing hot rays.
Amidst a soon to be,
dark and gloomy evening,
With a settling night time,
Cooling dew.Â
Its effervescent beauty is one of a kind.
One to be beholden.
As everyday,
Each sunset is completely fresh,
Utterly new.
From sunrise to sunset,
I’ve watched it daily since a child,
And everyday is awash with colours anew.
The colours are ever changing,
With each season gone through!
