Sweet Annie

Sweet Annie

I met Annie.
On a course,
For First Aid.
On the floor
prone to the
elements laid..
I felt for her
breast bone..
in order to
compress with
the heel of my
hand..
as Nelly the Elephant
Packed her Trunk ,-
in my head played..
round and round..
she wasn't responding...
Poor lass,
A death mask was
cast, in
Plaster of Paris..
of a madmoselle who
slipped into the Seine..
and met her fate
beneath the waters deep..
and this became
Sweet Annie the CPR manekin..
who's lips have kissed
many ...she wasn't missed
by any..but
saving millions of lives..
is her claim to fame.
