Poem -

SWEET PSYCHO

I stand in the shadows
I hide secret smile
It is done
Don't you dare judge
Walk your shoes
In MY mile!

I didn't see choices
As some might assume
I was driven
By hunger
And boredom
And gloom

I admit I felt sick
When the blood
Stained my dress
It was always a favourite
And now
It's a mess

But when it was over
I laid him out nice
He looked
Well
Quite rested
You'd never have guessed

And is it really so bad
It just means one less
We've plenty to go round
And the knife
WAS
My best

I didn't do it for pleasure
Or even for fun
You probably
Won't notice
It was only the one
Honest.

something like that

you wake up
take a breath
make a coffee
gaze at the sky

ponder the truth...

weren't you?

I think now
I might have kept a thing
Your green eye in a glass case

a hand or a foot...
