Swim or Drown
Sadly, this is based on a true story that happened about 60 or 70 years ago.

Your son had never swam so you threw him in the lake.
He could've died, you don't even care that you put his life at stake.
When you threw him in the lake, you told him to either swim or drown.
You should be in prison because it's a danger to others to have you around.
Luckily your son didn't drown, he was able to swim.
But you're an unfit parent and social services should take him.
When I look at you, it's hard for me just to keep my lunch down.
You are an evil man who told his son to either swim or drown.
What you did was so terrible, that it's hard to believe that it's true.
When I think about the kind of man who should go to Hell, I think of you.

Wow. Hmmm, powerful is the word. I wish I knew how to review it. I feel for the person being thrown into a lake as I cannot swim. So if the same thing happened to me, I would have drowned. I'm not sure how well it reads as a poem though, rather dark and short. I would keep working on the piece, maybe show the boy swimming as the final scene. This happened to my mother when she was five, her father was a horrible man.
