Take To Center Stage

Dim the lights low,
A silent audience replaces,
The dull roaring conversations of an anxious crowd,
Excitement etched upon focused faces,
After announcements the applause welcoming and loud.
Music floats beautifully in air feeding the ears,
Tapping feet to the drums mimicking heart beats,
Captivated minds anticipate the show as it nears,
Children develop attention spans enthralled sitting on the edge of their seats.
Magic happens as everything comes together working,
The love of theater takes possession of any age,
Draw the mysteriously elaborate curtains,
Shining stars fallen into the position of center stage.

Love this poem, attention to details before the show begins; the anticipation, the focus of the audience suddenly changing to excitement as the show is about to begin; this is great idea for the focus of a poem to begin with, and you def. wrote this terrifico, great read, Devon really enjoyed   Â
