TAKE ME THERE

Take me to the graveyard
Where the black beetle
Click clacks
Over marbled stone
Showing chiselled names
Of those at home
Where the lone daisy
Flaunts her beauty
Amongst the creeping weeds
In the shifting light
Of the shadowy trees
Where the robin chirps
And steals the worms
With nobody to bother him
Safe
Take me to the graveyard
Where life kisses death
In defiance and hope
Long before
It too
Strangles and chokes
Where you exist
In ancient dance
In the air
In the ground
In the hush of sound
And I can breathe you in
Sit down a while
Rest with you
Remember
Smile
Take me there.

So very beautiful. Love your descriptive imagery, it puts me right in the scene. <3 Blessings
Thankyou so much Rebecca ??
Beautiful, as usual, Marion. I told you you were a great writer, and you didn't believe me, did you? LOL.
Great imagery, and you just feel the beauty of the scene, the warmth, and even the sadness.
Wonderful.
Matthew.
Well IV just visited your page Mathew and I'm going to throw that compliment right back at you. Your work is terrific. Thanks for reading and commenting, it is truly appreciated ??
Thank you so much, you're way too kind, but I appreciate it.
Don't read my chicken ones though, because you'll never read me again...probably never read anything ever again!! I like writing comedy things, but only 1 person likes them.
Thank you! You're awesome!
Matthew(one t).
I already did...lol...I like chickens, your secret is safe?.. ?????
Thank you Marion!!
I'm thinking of becoming a mental patient, so I write crazy sometimes. You're great!

A heartfelt and beautiful description that effortlessly takes the reader with you on your visit..You write with a lovely fluidity that carries the reader on this literary journey with you, absorbing the emotions you create with your selective use of words and allowing the imagery to involve the reader in the scenario. I really enjoyed this very much Marion, thank you for sharing Lodigiana xx
Aww, thankyou very much for your comment Lodigiana, I'm glad you enjoyed ....??
Dear Marion,
Your beautiful poem has stirred strong emotions in me, for I visit my parents graves regularly, where I buried a small porcelain box with Nico and Cody's fur in it, between them. In the next few days I'm going to write a poem about their gravesites, and credit you with it's inspiration.
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
Oh Larry, don't credit me, no need, inspiration comes from inside ourselves, what we see and hear around us only triggers it. Iv always found a deep peace in graveyards and find deep comfort at the graves of loved ones, though some people find the exact opposite. I find them to be very sacred places. Im very touched that the poem moved you and look forward to reading yours. I truly hope you find comfort and peace in your memories ♥️
