Take My Time

The walk of life,
Became one big trip.
As I stumbled into,
One hellish pit.
Regaining my feet,
Barely escaping such a place.
I now have to jog,
To get back to a walking pace.
So strenuous as you can see,
I'm so out of shape.
The straining endured,
And the sweat breaking out on my face.
Don't want to be behind,
But I know there will come that day.
When I walk with life,
And no longer live that other way.
