take these thoughts

Take these thoughts and burn the edges

Scarring the words into a jumbled mess

back of my mind

tip of the tongue

words failing.

But that's okay because smiles and tears and

scars

they speak better anyways.

Put down the doll and pick up the knife baby.

The stars don't shine

neither do your dreams.

Run to the edge of the world and don't jump

that's what buildings are for.

Just look. And smile. It's gonna be okay baby.
