Takein' it easy

Takein' it easy

Sleeping in has become easier now,
With retirement to the fore
At first it was a novelty to know
The alarm clock would chime no more.
That strange feeling of guilt
Whilst having a lazy breakfast on the deck
No checking the time
No boss breathing down my neck.
The morning news now comes at nine
Instead of half past six
Done most of the piled up chores
Not much more left to fix
Shall I mow the lawn today, nah
Its still lookin' quite alright
I'm enjoying just looking at the garden
And how it changes with the light.
But dont get me wrong, its not all roses
There's an acheing in the back,
And when I flex my fingers
You'll always hear a crack.
Sometimes too, one feels light headed
And perhaps have a little stumble,
But all in all it must be said
Hey Mate! I shouldn't grumble.

Yea, thanks Tony. I guess in retirement it's OK to take life at a steady pace, enjoy the  no-cost  treasures that nature shows us everyday, all we got to do is see it and appreciate it like I'm sure the 'Cosmo folk all do, so thanks for your comments and encouragementTony.

Cheers Byd0nz
