Taken Over

My mom always told me , "Don't do drugs." Then the day I did all she could do was shrug.

But that shot of heroin left me with out a single care , And to my mom that was unfair.

When I found you I thought that we would last forever and now I know thinking that wasn't clever. You made me feel so good - I didn't have to walk around with my hood on and head down. Never did I frown.

But then I went that one day without you - All I could do was lye in pain and shed a lot of tears. You left my family with lots of fears.

You turned me into someone im not - I thought that we were "Homies" It turns out that you are just hella phony. You took me over and didn't even care. But that's okay because I got away from you and that shits rare.
