Taste of Life
Taste of life, spirit's hindmost throb,
Bitter delicacy, grinding down my claws.
The allegory of a slob,
Boozing and guzzling through straws.
Nudge the edge of deserted enduring,
Dry nerve bore apathetic maturing.
Taste of life, collared my weakness,
A putrid fragrance I always concede.
Carry on disgraceful meekness,
An infected flame, a futile read.
Desiring the wind, a whimsical allure,
Fondness of earth, veils my cure.
Taste of life, beckons my end,
With cynical fidelity, my fatal compass.
Where my guilt descend,
And where loss will dump us.
I can taste the lies, an unending turn,
I can taste the curtains, beginning to burn.
