Tattooed

Tattooed

Tattooed on my forehead in invisible ink
must be the words 'Doormat'
visible to bullies everywhere
shining at them like a flare
'Welcome' it says as they wipe their feet
on the bus taking my seat
skipping ahead in the queue
my protest escapes their view

I'm getting it lasered, I'm taking control
today I adopt a new role
no more hiding in the shadows
looking like I'm heading for the gallows
now they deliberately look away
tattooed on my forehead 'Go on, make my day'

I know how you feel Susan! I was quiet too until I started to speak up! Then the bullying stopped.. Great read!
