Love lies in the Tea-Tales

Warming heartbeats,
Tea fragrant breaths,
Off winter mornings.
Perfumed like the thirsty earth,
It is raining cool muslin drops,
I've brewed us some ginger tea.
For days now an umbrella of rain's been upon the house,
Not even a single drop of sunshine, has fallen ever since,
Though am not a tea guy yet, would you make me a cup?
Even if I say something the paper just ignores them all,
The pen too has lost its tongue at the moment, is silent,
Come on now please, see I have made you special tea.
Even the day's irritated- sunny or shady,
Tired of this indecision it eventually sets,
You have a cold; shall I make you a tea?
Picking out silences from the day's noises,
I keep them safe, in the pages of my diary,
Will read them to you over the evening tea.
Saw a golden moon alight atop the building's terrace,
Scaling up the sky like a snapped free helium balloon,
There was such romance in our tea that silent evening.
At times, in the numb smell of everyday noises like a vial of perfume
Shatters a certain word, reviving many a moment and thoughts past
The biscuit being soaked in tea in a coffee mug, and us in nostalgia.
