Tears And Smiles
Tears and smile firmly etched upon the mind,
Memories linger as years quickly come and go !
With age the past is fresher, never left behind,
So reminiscing on love or loss is all you know !

You reflect on where you're rewarded or tested,
With situations having made you happy or sad !
Realizing lessons came from what has mattered,
The knowledge you can call on makes you glad !
..............................................
When you're older there's less to cause surprise.
You've been through too much to feel pressure !
What's to be respected or valued you recognise.
You've learnt for certain all there is to treasure !

You speak of treasures and as we get older treasures though unseen and not material...
The value means so much more...
