TEARS ON CHRISTMAS DAY

The tears won't stop just because it's Christmas Day
What causes the tears I cannot say
Are you in pain and is it getting worse ?
I can't offer an explanation and I will call the nurse

To see you cry is hardly joyous or fun
Hard for you and hard for me her son
If I was granted a wish the tears would certainly go
Crying on Christmas Day is not the best you know

The handkerchief I pass you is now soaking wet
