Teenage story

Teenage story

I’ve got blood in my brain
It looks like fire
Red hot coals in my skull
It’s beautifully framed
I’ve got poison dripping from my fingertips
It looks like honey
Sugary sweet phenomena
They think I love it
They think I like pressure on my hips and needles in my lips
They think that i live for let downs and no-end nights
For highs and swimming in the deepest lows
For oceans of tears that frame my perfect face
For mascara that looks like it’s been brushed on my skin like a canvas
For poison dripping from my fingertips
I look like shit
But it’s all for the fucking aesthetic honey
So take your pills
Take some more
Take
Some
More
You’ll feel better if you do
Your life will be romantic
I swear if you just let the orange bottles pile up in your bathroom drawer
Why am I talking to someone else
This is about me
I’m addicted to lies
And pretending that everyone else is falling apart, except for me
I won’t even try
To get myself out of jeopardy
I’m a fucking teenage, backseat, old town story
Don’t you dare try to rescue me

Thankyou! I typically don't write in that style, but i'm trying new things.

I love reading other people's work, I sometimes struggle feeling the need to rhyme all the time but I'm working on trying to adapt different styles. I'll be keeping reading your work x
