Tell me Lord

Today I try to work and today I try to pray, the world around me sprinting far away,

Tell me lord, tell me please, what am I doing, do I really need all this praise,

The world, the world, spinning so fast, leaving me standing lord that is so harsh,

I want to keep up, I want to be left standing I don’t want to be the cripple on the landing,

Holding my bible, saying my rosary, Hail Mary I love thee, so help me lord, help me please,

Bring my sanity into the quest stop me from starving keep me carving oh lord I tell thee,

I love you so much you are my guidance you are my sports car if you take me then I will be there

Loving you so, loving your son the one who died the terrible death up on a cross ,

The crowds were jeering but then they were lost then the good shepherd died on the cross,

He died for me, and he died for you, yes he was technically a Jew but up on that cross in full view

He died for our sins and he died true and pure
