Ten Years Old
For my Goddaughter, Bella
I climbed a faraway tree when I was ten years old,
I sailed the rocky seas, searching for pots of gold,
I dreamt about a secret door that I didn't see,
Looking for lands of fantasy,
When I was ten years old.
I rode upon a wishing chair,
I slayed a dragon in his lair,
I had no worries not a care,
Hogwarts was my school, I had magic and a spell,
I'd ride a magic carpet if I fell,
And Beautiful Bella, may you always have your dreams,
And your smile that shines so brightly, it beams,
You see... As your life unfolds,
You will do all these things in all those books - because you are ten years old

Agree with what has been said, a cleverly crafted poem Billy, one that sits well on the reader. Especially enjoyed the sense of playfulness between the lines. Thanks for the follow, and welcome to the Cosmos.
Love this poem...it brought back good memories from the wonderful books I have read through my life x
