Poem -

Thank you

I wish I could thank you.

Thank you for the moments we cherished.

That moment we sat on the bridge, our legs dangled from the edge.

You hair tangled in the wind, blowing on my face, push it away only for it to come back again.

Thank you for laughing with me when I wanted to cry when I feel down the stairs because I looked at my phone.

Never did feel alone with you around. Held arms, interlocked, matched my speed as we walked.

Thank you for showing that you loved me instead of saying it, that's something I could never do.

Bought Doritos from a vending machine, accidently hit the wrong number and you were reaching for another snack. We laughed and gave the machine a smack.

You held me in your arms, such an embrace that made my heart race and my face flush.

You touch my cheek, hush me as I speak.

Then you leave me, you found another last week.

But thank you for the moments, I now hold them and own it.

Thank you.
