Poem -

Thank you.

A slow creek at the door
What could this be for?
Hammering metal against metal.

The noise of digging echos in the night.
Yet no one will hear it. It's out of their range.

I lay still. No breathe to give away I'm here.
Still hammering metal against metal.
The creek in the wood seems to give way.

The moonlight shines into my doorway. I feel the vibrance of the night. It fills me.
The muscles that were once weak seem to be filling with energy.

Hammering metal against metal. The digging is no longer taking place. The clinging on tools hitting the ground peeks to my ears.
Full light of the night beaming threw my door.

Low whispers to not touch the body is scattered Amongst themselves.
The weight on my chest is lifted.
They sealed there fate along with everyone elses.

Hammering metal against metal. I seal my door for you.
