Thank you Jesus!

For my guilt, you put on a crown of thorns,
So that through the shedding of your blood, I could be reborn…
You carried all the weight for me, You took upon my loss,
For my sin & shame, You were nailed to the cross…
You got whipped & kicked, You went through so much pain!
You resisted till the end, & You did it for my gain!
You did not deserve to pay the price for my iniquity,
Yet You did it so I could share your glory for eternity!
Through Your crucifixion You carried what I deserved,
Through Your death You took my sins & put my life on reserve…
At the tomb, You left my mistakes, You put them out of sight,
Through Your resurrection, You brought life, & You fill me with Your light!
I could never repay for everything You did for me,
Yet You took upon my battle, Lord You have set me free!
You’ve restored my life, You put together all my broken pieces,
You gave purpose to my life & for that I thank You Jesus!
