Poem -

Thanksgiving

I am but lost
In this new world
New sights, new smells
A new life
Where we are alone

Lord, help me
Help my family
For winter is upon us
And we have no food
We have no wood for the fire

Jesus, hear our cries
Send us Hope
In return for our prayers

Because, God, I am scared
I am scared for my family
I am scared for my friends
This is a new world...
This new world is a scary place.

But I thank you, Father,
For sending us natives
Who comfort and teach us their ways

Perhaps, we will not starve
Perhaps, we will not suffer
Perhaps, just perhaps,
We will unite with happiness
And Thanksgiving.
