THAT C WORD

 
It came out of the blue without any warning
Now it makes world news every morning 
Seems to strike anybody in its wake 
Ignore it at your peril is a big mistake

Anywhere is not safe from this deadly bug 
No kissing no contact no travel no hug 
Scaremongering in the press make it worse
Everyone knows that this virus is a curse

This poet doesn't have a solution or cure 
Worrying times ahead I know that for sure 
Be safe people as you go about your day 
Don't let that C word get in the way
