Poem -

That seek the light

That seek the light

That seek the lightĀ
With this stick alongĀ
The corridor walkĀ
The light of the Lord
I, the blind found youĀ
Not by sight butĀ
By faith alone; LordĀ
I have returned toĀ
All the stations ofĀ
Getsemanne
Via DolorosaĀ
Now that I have comeĀ
To find youĀ
In your arms I fellĀ
Since birth I was blindĀ
In sixty years it was the darkĀ
At 80 on my ownĀ
A vision of the LordĀ
Thou shalt not be blind Ā
At 24 I travelled the earthĀ
From the slums of ManilaĀ
To the poor in DelhiĀ
From Africa to AsiaĀ
To the subcontinentĀ
And backĀ
Then on to the Holy LandĀ
At Nazareth I saw the fatherĀ
The son and Holy SpiritĀ
Ā  Ā  Ā As in JerusalemĀ
Walking with Moses to TempleĀ
Across the mountains to NepalĀ
Lord BuddhaĀ
I, the blindĀ
Ā  Ā I, the deafĀ
Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā I, the livingĀ
Ā  Ā  I, the deadĀ
I, the afflictedĀ
Ā  Ā  I, the transgressorĀ
Ā  I, the darkĀ
I, the childĀ
I, thee childĀ
Ā  Ā  Ā Thy shadow
Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  in the shadowsĀ
Ā  Ā  Thy lightĀ
Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā In the darkĀ
Thy calmĀ
Ā  Ā On every pathwayĀ
Ā  Ā Thy loveĀ
In the midst of angerĀ
Thy peaceĀ
In the church of NativityĀ
Ā  Ā Under the Boddhi treeĀ
Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā At the Temple MountĀ
Thy life for deathĀ
I walk towards the BuddhaĀ
With Jesus on the one sideĀ
Abraham on the otherĀ
Together in the darknessĀ
That seek the lightĀ

Reflecting history in a poem is a chanceĀ

reflecting the great sages even greater challengeĀ

reflecting on God I can only pray.Ā

Thank youĀ LisaĀ

Luv Jai:)Ā
