That's how I say.

When I’m out on the road,
And you want to explode,
I won’t go astray,
That’s how I say…I love you.
Playing song after song,
As my hair has grown long,
And showing a touch of gray,
That’s how I say…I love you.
We’ll go through a drought,
Our lives full of doubt,
Got nothing but a wildflower bouquet,
That’s how I say…I love you.
When you’re gone sun to sun,
Living off one income,
A T.V. Dinner’s  is on your tray,
That’s how I say…I love you.
It may seem unfair,
But we don’t need daycare,
You’ll return to a loving array,
That’s how I say…I love you.
I take a break now and then,
And start writing again
As we take things day by day.
That’s how I say…I love you.
They say there’s no time,
Get your butt back on line,
My life is in total dismay.
All I can say, Is that I love you.
You’re the love I long for,
And you've heard this before,
What I say is not a cliche.
It’s just how I say, I love you…
My guitar in its case
I've got girls in my face,
And I just pull away
That’s how I say, I love you
The boys throw a fit,
Could be hitting on it,
I don't listen any way.Â
That’s how I say, I love you.
This poem is so long
I could go on and on,
So many different ways,
To say, how much I love you,
There’s no way to end,
So I’ll start it again,
I hope, you feel the same way,
So many ways, to say…I love you.
