But-That's OK

But-That's OK

Once I was too young to know
and love was too big a load
for my young shoulders to carry
but that OK

There came a time when
love knocked on my door
again and again
I did not want it
Love was easy
why take it.
But that's OK

Now I am older
and I awaken in the
middle of the night.
There is a woman
in my bed.
Heck I don't even
know her name.
Sometimes you
need someone to
help you through the night.
Buts that's OK.

Sometimes
A woman is in the kitchen
she frying up Bacon and Eggs
I realize shes been doing
that for many mornings.
And I run
run--- run ---run
like a deer.
I run so far away
like I knew they knew
I would run.
And I don't want them
to get confused
on why I would stay.
But That's OK
That's OK.
