Hi Tony So many thoughts racing around
in my mind  after reading your piece 
My thoughts were of this abyss being the place between life and 
death not so much from birth to death but as in maybe near death experience 
where some have said your life flashes by before you
where all our life experiences  are somehow accounted for
and passed on to begin a new chapter
A place where you sometimes glimpse the next stage of existence
or pass on to that next stage, where I think a whole new world 
exists 
I don`t know if that makes sense but they were my thoughts 
Anyways I loved you piece as always

My brother T, I don't know if I'm on the right track or not, but, I think the " Abbys" is a place waiting for us to expose our deeply innermost thoughts, are we courageous enough to show the "Abyss" deep down inside us or will we try to cover up our most inner feelings in fear of being swallowed up. A tremendous read my man T.

My Dear Brother Poet Tony,

As time goes on, our lives become a kaleidoscope, which we record every day.  As we approach our senior years, we visualize these memories from our past.  Some bring laughter, some bring tears.  We fight for our longevity.  Unlike what medicine calls its number one taker of lives, it is truly the grim reaper.  Laugh, smile, be happy, for then God will provide His ladder from the abyss to His stars, where you will spend the last years of your life in harmony.

While your poem is very factual and true, I couldn't help reading it over and over again as the way you bring forth that truth, has such an eeriness about it. It gives me goosebumps to have to truly understand what our lives are really just about. Very inspiring and wonderfully written. I enjoy reading your work.

The picture you used for this has me imagining I'm the woman sitting on the stool with my eyes closed imagining everything that could be possible after death and what I will leave behind for others to learn or share. Everyone must have an "Abyss" somewhere inside of them just waiting to be explored whenever they feel like they are able even if it winds up being in their last hours or after they've moved on and it's their next chapter in life. I think I tend to retreat into mine whenever I'm feeling down and detached from the world. I think this write has multiple meanings to me of which I definitely think I'd like to explore more. I love this one so much that it's pinned and might just wind up on my wall. Awe inspiring write :)
