The Agony And The Ecstasy Inspired by Richard Waters poem “Agony”

The Agony And The Ecstasy Inspired by Richard Waters poem “Agony”

Much blood doth spill

Yet some it thrills

The lambs are slain

As terror reigns

“Love Thy Neighbor” now eschewed

For hating them a lifelong feud

Peace now is a shattered dream

As limbs are severed, and brave men scream

The only way it all will end

Is when “The Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse”

God does send

Larry...

An unusually grim piece from you. I like it!

You should let your darker impulses drive your poetry more often...

My Dear Friend Jason,

I oft times curb the ebon urges, to portray the darkened pain of my heart and soul.  They both cry incessantly for my Nico.  In temporary recesses, I dry my tears, and delve into other genres.  I am slowly learning to heal, but my remissions will never be complete.

Peace and Love,

My dear Larry,

There's nothing wrong with lancing the boil, sometimes.
And if it's in the service of art...so much the better. All we have for materials are the meagre skills afforded us, our memories and the love we bear for those around us...and those who are not.

I know that's cold comfort on a winter's night...but it is the entire summation of all my learning; which hasn't been much, truth be told!

J ;)

My Dear Friend Jason,

If your learning has not been much, I pity those with Doctorate Degrees, whom you could eat for breakfast.  They can take their books and place them where the sun does not shine, for life, is the greatest educator that exists.  You my friend are this maxims greatest proof.

Peace and Love,

Dear Brother Poet LARRY!!

What a powerfully gruesome ambiance is created here..... with the use of Olde English in VERY compelling fashion...... driving it home with some great references ~ "...The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse, God does send!"...... as a whole I was left with the feeling that "CALIGULA" was somewhere lurking........ALL STARS!!....... great read...... well done!!::::::LOVE and ROCKETS!!......T xo.  ?✳✴☀

My Dear Brother Tony,

The comments "you create" always delve deeply into the exact pith of an author's work.  You have that rare skill of perfectly analyzing every word, answering with your own, which always brings the readers total joy.  You are "A One In A Million".

Peace, Love and Rockets,

Hi Daddio...This format looks different from your usual...The end of all evil would be when God sends the four horsemen...

Love you

Dear Sweet Rose,

Sometimes I write on other subjects besides pain and love.  It just drives me crazy that these takers of innocent lives, are allowed to live their lives out.

Love you,

Daddio xxx

I`m so proud of my wonderful Larry, this one is a superbly well written and well put together piece and it`s such a different style to your usual work but I loved every single line of it because it says so much about the evil in the modern world. Thank heavens that the good people of the world out number the bad and God bless you for bringing it to our attention and well done sweetie for a beautiful piece.

I love you both

Our Dear Georgina,

Thank heavens that one of those "good people of the world" came into our lives and has enriched them beyond belief.  There is an old song whose lyrics go "To know, know, know you, is to love, love, love you".  You are the embodiment of these words, for your gentle heart and soul have reached out to so many who needed your tender love.  For hundreds of years, there has been a "St. George", but I think in the future, there will be a canonization of "St. Georgina".

We love you a ton,

Linda, Larry and Little Cody xxx
