THE ARGUMENT

A leftover meal from the night before 
Was thrown against the kitchen door 
The following morning and this is now 
Richard and Emily continued to row 

Once Emily had discovered lipstick on Richard's shirt 
Richard knew Emily would be upset and hurt 
Emily challenged Richard about this yesterday 
The game was up and there was nothing he could say 

So the argument between these two rumbled on day and night 
Each of them convinced that they were right 
Whatever happened to this once loving couple ? 
Replaced with arguments and rows and their marriage in trouble
