Poem -

THE BARMAN AND HIS CUSTOMERS

He stares at his glass where did that drink go ?
Another one is needed to soften the blow
With him one drink is never ample or enough
His life is hard and extremely tough

The barman fills his glass and shakes his head
Wishes his shift was over but listens to this customer instead
Being a barman you need a sympathetic ear
His clientele bring little comfort and cheer

Both customer and barman finish their night
The customer slightly drunk not a pretty sight
The barman relieved to go home at last
More of the same tomorrow would be his forecast
