THE BEAUTIFUL STARS
I've been told there's a shop in
The beautiful stars
Where real life meanings await
Where sparkling zest can be
purchased for free
And large cups of hope cost a
penny for three
There are cakes made of
wonder, and
Sweets fashioned from love
With bravery rocks found on
shelves high above
Where compassion is sold on
In bright yellow bags
And contentment is iced onto
large chocolate bars
Where the angels await with
hot coffee and smiles
Offer tiny care biscuits to
soothe weary miles...
Tis a place to replenish the
meanings in life
Where nothing is mashed up or
Chopped with a knife
Where everything tastes fine
Where worries are binned, and
the wrappings are toasted, to
Mint chocolate thins
I'm told everyone's welcome
It can be accessed in dreams
Just follow the tinkle of bells
to the streams, that flow
Laughing with merry
Over kisses of fudge
To where fairies throw smiles
down, from trees
That carve hugs

I am blown away by this. This is just truly beautiful. I have read it twice and just read it aloud to my daughter who also thinks it is a gorgeous poem. And it is gorgeous. It is the sort of poem that EVERYBODY on the planet should read. This poem is mighty special. I am not going to highlight any lines because I cant. Each marvellous line runs into another and the whole poem sings to the soul and comforts the heart. I LOVE the the thought of this very special shop. The lines of this highly creative write flow exquisitely throughout. Oh I truly, truly adore this poem. This is what true poetry is all about. This is special. Okay so now am sobbing buckets Marion ❤️ That last stanza about the pathways took me back. The entire poem whispers a promise in my ear that my heart longs to believe is real. I want to see them all again, and hug each one for a full day. Sorry I missed this. I have a lot of reading to do as haven’t been on as much. But I plan to. Well I need to sort my tears out.
