Poem -
The Beginning
There is such wonder in a story a long time told.
Three kings came to the one to change our world.
With gifts in acknowledgement of what's to come,
It was totally clear to them why a lone star shone !
Its light fell on a manger where there's a beginning.
A life would give all of us a path to understanding !
Christmas is when we reflect upon a birth of grace,
Inner peace established in all looking to this place.
That night will always be a source of togetherness !
It's there belief became a beacon to expel darkness.

I loved your poem, but it caused me to reflect and ask myself.
The King of peace, tolerance, forgiveness and love, was born over 2000 years ago. So when did so many of his followers choose to ignore his message, in order to spread war, bigotry, and hate?
Religion throughout history has been a cause of division sometimes leading to war but so has the desire for power, influence or wealth ! The "human condition" has leaned towards accentuating or perpetuating conflict emphasising differences. I consider every day to be a blank page for mankind to write good upon. You can not alter what has been but from the here and now you can put aside mistrust and dislikes, created by opinion which is a product of previous generations prejudice. Let us all establish a "brave new world" and not repeat mistakes of those before us !
