The Blue

The Blue

O pregnant sky
As blue as a painter's
Breast -a-trembling,
Hands sweating,
Over magnificent borders
Alone there,
And lost in the blue
Of God's

Once in a lifetime
Gift,
Of a gust of wind,
Contrasting the holy blue
By a feather's
Wafting
As paint finds its way
Magically,
Softly,
Across a pristine canvas
As the hands of that wind
And Buddhism,
Spreads
Its intoxication,
With love of the sky
And the bold
Undertaking,
And unabashed unveiling
Of,
"The Fortress In The Sky"...

Tony Taylor

Note: inspired by the building of "The Fortress In The Sky" that occurred during the early spread of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, and other like countries.

Divine imagery!

You have a wonderfully sensuous eye; the vision of which gushes from your tender pen.

A joy!!

A poet with a painter' eye! Tony certainly fills that role. To me the imagery of the wind as wisdom, through the teachings of Buddhism, is a strong evocative image which Tony has captured completely.
