THE BOWEL OPERATION

THE BOWEL OPERATION

It was sad and upsetting to see you lying thereΒ
With your tired looking eyes and unkept hairΒ
As I entered the Dilham Ward without any preconceived ideasΒ
To visit my mother of seventy three yearsΒ

The four hour operation according to the doctors went wellΒ
To remove her left bowel and hopefully send cancer to hell
Take your time to rest and recoverΒ
My dearest and loving sweetest motherΒ

So I finish my poem and leave the Dilham WardΒ
Remember mum you are always loved, admired and adoredΒ
