the bus poem - part ten; red wine

The lights on the vacancy sign flicker.
I didn't have you for the best part of 2 years,
not really.
Not like I did at New Years Eve,
when you were afraid of her,
the same her that makes me fear you
now,
a bit too much.
Oh! How she touches you
now,
a bit too much,
And all too easily,
and I get texts at 3am
That scare me half to death,
but, then again,
you’re scared too.
So, I hold my breath
and move to a louder room.
