THE BUTTERFLY

I saw something I haven't seen for a while 
Something that amused me and made me smile
This object I saw has bright coloured wings 
A butterfly is considered one of nature's wonderful things 

The butterfly goes about its business without a sound 
Flying up high and above the beautiful ground 
A little child will stop and never forget 
How they tried to catch a butterfly with a butterfly net 

So beautiful butterfly go about your day 
Fly your wings and in one place you will not stay 
Should you stop butterfly and settle down
