THE C WORD

 
He walked to the newsagents every single day
For his daily newspaper nothing got in his way
Been doing this now since he retired from work 
Something to get up for the obvious perk

Whilst at the newsagents he was one for a chat
Spoke about the weather and this and that
Now this man at the newsagents is seen no more
The C word means he stays behind a locked door

The newsagent behind the counter wonders why
Will this man be left alone and maybe die
The C word is effecting his customers and his trade
Contingency plans they say are now being made

So dear man all my thoughts and prayers are with you 
Having the C word means there is nothing you can do
