The Call of Beowulf

The Call of Beowulf

In Geatland's halls, a kingly peace

Disturbed by whispers, bringing cease

To joyful feasts and stories told

Darkness rising, dark and cold

A monstrous terror, Grendel's name

Devours the brave, and feeds his flame

Grendel, born of darkness

Extinguished of light

Eyes burning like fire

Hatred burning, night by night

King Hrothgar weeps, his spirits low

His warriors crushed beneath the blow

No king can stand, no sword 🗡can bite

Across the sea, a hero's call

The wind howls fierce, a North Sea cry

A lament carried on the sky

The call of Beowulf

A story told of courage and bravery

Beowulf with fire in his eyes, he slays the beast

The call of Beowulf, a hero's feast

Where legends and heroes dine among the kings
