THE CHILDREN

When we arrived
We were filled up with glee
Children let loose...yet received
Graciously
There... we melted in scenes of
no colours we knew
And everything lit up
And glorious to view
But who were we now with our
bodies left there
Behind us and dead eyed and
cold
Though no pause could be
spared onĀ such trivials as life
Not with us having stumbled
Our way to the light

This gave me chills to read, you really captured the naive innocence of being a child in this strikingly sad poem. It starts of so sweet and beautifully then BAM! out of nowhere the second half hits the reader right between the eyes and heart.Ā šRobĀ

Thankyou truly Rob...hugs x
Children are just so very excitable in life that it only goes that as angels they would remain so. This is sensitively handled in a truly beautiful way. I so agee with Rob's comments above. Beautiful poetry xx
Thanks so much Tina...hugs ā¤
