THE CLOTHES THAT HE WORE

The hat that he wore upon his headĀ
Looked ridiculous it has to be saidĀ
The trousers he wore across his waist
Were so out of fashion and not in good taste

The shirt he wore on his thin framed chest
Stood out a mile and was not the bestĀ
The shoes he wore to help his bare feetĀ
Made his outfit scruffy and incompleteĀ

Living on the street you wear what you canĀ
Fashion stakes aren't top priority for this homeless man

My Dear Kieran,

I really loved your poem, juxtaposed with humor and sadness.
"Tailor made", by someone who cares about his fellow man.

Love,

Kieran,
You know I love all your work...and I don't mind saying it again!Ā  I used to take leftover food to the homeless from a small lunch business I had and was so sad. Love, Terry Kay
