Sometimes my brain's on fire
Sometimes my soul's in pain
Sometimes my system's sick
Sometimes I have no desire
To live.....
Such crazy perceptions
From the Captain's
Of the new possibilities
And hidden Universal Passages
Through time.....
In the desert lies a truth, deep within
A shadow digging sadly
Upon horizonless features
Where falsity arcane
Clouds disguised sunshine
Upon an horizon inevitable
On the mistaken faces
Of the most evolved explorers
Fighting their way from hell
And into the Comfortable Now
Coloring their way
Into five year old perceptions
Of what is 'cool'
With psilocybin as a catalyst
And arrogance
The unwritten passage
For liars and salesman
To speak boldly
Of what is to come....

Hey Tony... Your back! And what a poem you have come back with... I sense a great deal of pain in this. I have had to read it a fair few times to try and get the gist of it. I just get a kind of sadness. I don't know if I have interpreted it right and I'm sorry if I haven't.

This, to my mind, describes people who have found themselves at the bottom of the darkest pit but have found a way to climb out.

You're basically right about your impressions here... there is indeed a lot of references to pain here and mostly disguised because I like toil leave my stuff open to interpretation and also because there are issues at play that I haven't really shared with anyone running throughout..... you were deadly accurate with your impression about 'hitting bottom' and finding your way out!!.......
