Poem -

The devil dances on

Here he lies
Dancing away,
He wants to be seen,
But not heard,
Just look at him, dancing away
To the tune of your demise

You think he cares for your thoughts?
That's what he uses,
He sits,
He waits,
Until you finally give up,
Now, you're one of his muses

You're dark,
You're down,
He's singing, he's dancing,
To the sweet melody of your worries

You try to turn the music off.
You try to switch off the sounds of your sadness,
But he's already learnt your song.
There's nothing you can do,
Theres no point in screaming, or needn't bother to run,
As he wants you to see him, feel him
But not hear him,
So you might as well let him,
Let the devil dance on.
