THE DUNCE AND THE SMARTIE

 
Brainy and intelligent for that is undoubtedly she
Far more smart I have to say than dear old me 
Our paths met at a mutual friends birthday party 
I guess it's a case of the dunce and the smartie 

I made the first move and naturally said hi 
She giggled and said she liked my garish tie
We both decided to have a ice cold beer to drink 
Which way the chat went after I needed to think 

I had to steer the conversation to what I know 
Didn't want this lady to see me as awfully slow
So many things to discuss entered into my head 
A gentleman never tells what was actually said
