The Earth

The Earth

From miles away, Cassini films
A mote of dust and clay.
It is a world that brims with life
But also faces wars and strife,
For man has lost his way.

That sphere, with striking cobalt blue
    And lands of verdant green,
Has been a wondrous dwelling place;
It is a lovely gem in space,
    Where worlds and moons convene.

And in this world, man strives to find
    Abodes of ceaseless peace.
They fear that wars will be their end,
But this they fail to comprehend:
    That life will never cease.

The raging wars have marred the Earth,
    Like acne on a face.
And yet, the Earth continues on,
Despite the damage wars have done,
    Sustaining life with grace.

The Earth forever stands to last
    Amidst the stars in space.
It will remain forevermore
Because our God, who made it, swore
    It would remain in place.

Very powerful poetry Angel, but alas, I'll side with thanos on this one, earth is full of parasites called humans and we need to be destroyed.
