The Emerald Road

You came to my rescue and showed me the path, the one to The Emerald Road;

Out of the darkness and into the light, on your journey of wisdom I rode!

I know it was written in destinies’ deem, that our souls should again be as one;

For the moment I saw you I felt the earth move, and my new life had just begun!

I had traveled some routes that led to discord, no harmony had I ever found;

And then I became a sinner sometimes, for bad things on them did abound!

But then you arrived and I followed your way, from the depths and into the light;

You gave me the Zen to alter my life, and practice all things that were right!

For so many years we sailed the seas, immune to the seven deadly sins;

With our arms wide open and love in our hearts, “humanity” was our next of kin!

To make someone happy and to see their face smile, was daily our primary goal;

To travel the world and bring happiness in, and save so many lost souls!

But then came the day when you had to go home, to your Heavenly house up above;

But before you left you made sure I knew, that forever you’d send me your love!

So now every night I look to the stars, for the signs you so often send;

As I travel the paths of The Emerald Road, until I join you the day I ascend!
