Poem -

The End of Life

What is life?
What is the world when death still prevails?
We value death over life.
Power over Hope.
Stupidity over intelligence.
We value what’s wrong in the world not what’s right.
If only they would hear the screams of the past,
and the warnings of the future.
If only they heard the sounds of the bombs overhead.
If only they heard the sounds of gunshots.
If only they knew what they faced.
We favour death over life.
Power over Hope.
Stupidity over intelligence.
If only they could have heard.
If only.
Children running, parents crying, Fathers mourning, Mothers dying.
This is the world we live in.
This is our life, our peace, our happiness.
