The Eyes Have It

When I look into your lovely eyes, I’ll tell you what I see;

I see the mate that angels sent; I see your love for me!

When I close my eyes and dream at night, I see Heavens azure blue;

And in them is my angel love, in them there’s precious you!

Before you came my eyes were blind, they’d seen nothing but deceit;

So they closed themselves to ease the pain, and save them from defeat!

But then one day they heard your voice, and opened to take sight;

And since that day they’ve been wide awake, you’ve brought them to the light!

Now they shine like shooting stars, each time they look your way;

With beauty like they’ve never seen, in front of them each day!

For now they peer into your soul, and find mine in there too;

Joined forever in loves’ embrace, forever me and you!
