Poem -

The fallen

The fallen

In the name of religion

Kill, the innocent, my Lord,

Where is the decision

Written in God's name

Thou shalt not is

Written so who is to blame

When the helpless fall

And the family mourn

Whether it is scribed in

The holy book

Or not,

There is no justification

To take a life for a life

No matter of the cause

So help us God

To do what is moral

Rather than what is personal

Upon the beaches, in the markets

The holy temples of Allah and

The holy sepulchres of

All religions, I the fallen,

That fell, that fell in blood

Across the ages in the name of

Religion, I beg for redemption and,

The creation of peace

In the name of

The fallen upon this earth.
